Hey all

recently i use remote access to get to my server back home - it is on Rogers cable and they usually use 24.* and i think now 69.* as ip ranges.

Now, recently i discovered that they have change the Ip address to 169.* which belongs to:

NOw, this seems weird to me beause here in the Caribbean, where i have a Dial up account - about a week ago when i dialed out - i SWORE i was connected to a 169.* IP address as well (i was testing a forum and needed to know the ip address)

Sp - is something up? is this 169. ip range a "spy" range that they put people onto for a while? Or what exactly is it and why would someone on cable be using that IP and someone on dial up be able to go through that IP range as well?

To me it seems somethign is up and i almost do not want to connect to my server until this changes.

(my dial up account has since gone back to it's regualr 208.* ip range)

Any input??[/list:u]
