JVC xr-w2010 driver win 2000

I am looking for downloadable drivers for this drive. Worked awesome on win98, would hate to throw away. Any ideas?

CD drives do not usually require custom drivers... are you having trouble with it?

Yes, I clean installed windows 2000. I had the proper driver working in my windows 98se. So I know that the drive works, but in 2000 the device manager says;

 

"The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver."
