Valmur 0 Posted December 14, 2002 There should be a fix for Myst http://www.ntcompatible.com/compdet.php?id=978 Still the download doesn't work. Does setwin95 work with Myst (Classic Collection, has RedOrb's installer) Share this post Link to post

DosFreak 2 Posted December 15, 2002 Is it the Windows 3.1 Myst or the Windows 95 Myst? If 3.1 (which I do not have) then supposedly there is no way to get it to work in NT. If it's the Windows 95 ver then it should work fine. Whats the prob? Is it not installing? Share this post Link to post
Valmur 0 Posted December 15, 2002 Well this, I guess is Win9X version. The setup runs correctly, but when starting Myst.exe it says "Myst32 requires Windows 95, You are running Windows NT". Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted December 15, 2002 Ah, here we go. For 2K: Upon execution you will receive this error message: Myst32 requires Windows 95, You are running Windows NT. To fix: Right-click on shortcut, go to properties, Compatibility tab, Choose Win98. Run Game! Share this post Link to post
Valmur 0 Posted December 16, 2002 The only problem is that I don't have Compability tab there .. heh Share this post Link to post
adamvjackson 0 Posted December 16, 2002 Enable Compatibility Mode Properties The Compatibility-mode technology is not exposed by default. To enable an interface so that you can use this technology for your programs after you apply Windows 2000 SP2 or SP3: 1. Log on as Administrator. 2. Click Start, and then click Run. 3. In the Open box, type the following command, and then click OK, where %SystemRoot% is the drive and folder in which Windows is installed: regsvr32 %systemroot%\apppatch\slayerui.dll For more info, refer to MSKB article 279792. adamvjackson 0 Posted December 16, 2002 After you registered the DLL above, did you right-click on the shortcut and choose either Windows 95 or Windows 98 under the Compatibility tab? Share this post Link to post
Valmur 0 Posted December 16, 2002 Yeah, I registered and then tried both Win98 and Win95. It just says I must have Windows 95 to run this program. Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted December 16, 2002 Have you installed all of the application compatibility updates from Microsoft? Share this post Link to post
