pkiff 0 Posted December 16, 2002 I can't get my network connection to work for my 2 win 2k machines. I have a direct connection between the two machines, both have the win2k operating system and the connnection worked previously before i got a new computer. If you need more info drop a post. Thanks any feedback will be helpful, pkiff ;( Share this post Link to post
Bursar 0 Posted December 16, 2002 Are you using a cross over cable? What are the IP settings of the two machines? Share this post Link to post
pkiff 0 Posted February 1, 2003 It is a crossover cable. However, I dont know the IP addresses of the computers. I also have a DSL connection thaat i would like to get working. Thanks guys, Pkiff Share this post Link to post
adamvjackson 0 Posted February 1, 2003 You should honestly get an inexpensive cable/dsl router, that would be a better solution than a crossover cable and ICS... Less headaches. Share this post Link to post
duhmez 0 Posted February 3, 2003 goto the properties of the pc with the intenet ocnection. enable sharing. reboot both machines. then your internet weill work Share this post Link to post
el_vago32 0 Posted February 5, 2003 well, if your router has multiple outs for more than one pc, it should work without problems, just try redefining the protocols that the pc's are using on the network and the internet sharing..anyway it shouldn't be a problem Share this post Link to post
