D-Link Router and MSN Messenger

Hi Guys,

 

I have a router that connects my cable internet to other computers. The problem is that I cant seem to use the voice talk of msn messenger or the file transfer. The router is D-Link 614+. Thanks.

Basically, map the ports from the router to the machine for both inbound and outbound

Sorry for insisting on this, but how can you actually map the ports? ;(

You would forward the ports mentioned in the KB article to the machine behind the router that you want to send/recieve files from. This should have an IP of something like: 192.168.1.101.

That's great.. But what if you have more than one computer on the network?? What do I do with the mapping??

hey thats my problem too... infact i have four! but still what do i do with port mapping for that?

for multi computers dont forward just allow those ports

 

i have the same router, they might even have a preset that u just have to turn on. i would have to check when i get home
