question about a cd recorder

ok, could someone tell me about the "BenQ" recorders...compatibility issues, quality, durability....

the thing is that a company is distribuiting 'em (48x speed)at a very cheap price (less tahn 35 dollars), well, that's really cheap in comparisson with other ones in my country (i'm not in USA)...so i don't know how does this recorder work and i have that doubt...would someone clear my mind
