MS sidewinder force feedback steering wheel and WinXP

HELP ... i'm going crazy .... and I hope anyone can help me ... I wanna race again ...

 

I've a asus a7m266 motherboard with an onbout soundcard. The gameport is installed. When i go to controle panel to calibrate the steeringwheel than i can see that the brake is giving a constant signal even then I'm not touching it .....

 

Any suggestions ???

 

ps eveything worked fine with win98se .... ;(

if it is not USB - MS is not supporting it under Xp with the software anymore.
