Mix 0 Posted January 2, 2000 Will Win2000 ever support TV Tuner hardware that uses the bt848 (not definite) driver? I recently received a free card from a friend and of course I can watch my cable tv on Win98 with it, but with Win2000, it doesn't support it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -Mix ------------------ -Mix Share this post Link to post
Shrink 0 Posted January 3, 2000 You will need to seek out the card's manufacturer for support. What TV Card is it? ------------------ Shrink 92% of the things we worry about don't happen - but the other 8% DO! Share this post Link to post
Mix 0 Posted January 3, 2000 I can't remember exactly, but I believe it was a Magic Xpress, or something like that.. I'll have to look it up again. This is the first time I've had any experience with tuner cards. ------------------ -Mix Share this post Link to post
Shrink 0 Posted January 3, 2000 AFAIK, the only cards that have semifunctional drivers for win2k are from Avermedia and Hauppauge - your card may be Express TV, made by a company which I think is of the same name and who's website at http://www.comp-express.com is no longer available (not a good sign). Good luck :-) ------------------ Shrink 92% of the things we worry about don't happen - but the other 8% DO! Share this post Link to post
Mix 0 Posted January 3, 2000 I had been to their site not a month ago, my memory escapes me, but I do believe they are still around, at least I hope they are! ------------------ -Mix Share this post Link to post
