Nativespirit 0 Posted December 30, 1999 I have downloaded the Banshee drivers (actually the inf file to be used with the NT 4 drivers). Anyway, Direct3d doesn't work. You suggest to contact you with questions on the V3 drivers, am I to assume those won't work with Banshee? Directx7 is running but there is no hardware acceleration for it. I assume that is becuase the NT4 drivers don't have d3d support (since NT4 never supported it). Share this post Link to post
piper 0 Posted December 31, 1999 Snag the Windows 2000 drivers for Banshee (INF+all files) from http://seldzar.dhs.org or http://www.3dwin2000.de ~Piper Share this post Link to post
Nativespirit 0 Posted December 31, 1999 Got em I'll give it a try and see however I didn't see any d3d drivers in the zip file. I did get the GLide to work. Thanks. Share this post Link to post
Ragnarok 0 Posted January 2, 2000 I can't play UT under D3D. I have CL Banshee and the drivers from Chameleon. Share this post Link to post
spacey 0 Posted January 3, 2000 if you have a banshee don't play UT in d3d anyway! its horribly slow compared to what performance you'd get in glide. Share this post Link to post
Nativespirit 0 Posted January 3, 2000 I found that the original banshee drivers that come with W2k final ver works with D3d acceleration, but Glide did not. Downloading the hacked drivers from ntcompatible.cjb.net for the Banshee worked to run Glide but not D3d. Hopefully soon I will figure out how to get both working so I don't have to reinstall the drivers and reboot each time to play the games (some games run in D3d only) but agreed UT is best played in Glide its native API.
