FireRazer 0 Posted January 28, 2003 I dl the patch for Xp Prof that should have fixed GTA III. I went to look fot it in Google. That solved the menu screen from displaying nothing. But as soon as you say new game , it only loads a small bit then throws you an exception error. Soz, i cant give the error anymore. Is there still some more patches i have to dl or a setting in the registry?? Share this post Link to post
BladeRunner 0 Posted January 28, 2003 There are 2 main patches that you will want to make for GTA3. The first is the file you download from MS which updates a DirectDraw file. Incidentally if you are running WinXP SP1 & DirectX 9 this update file doesn't work, so I can only assume this issue was fixed in DirectX 9. The second file is the 1.1 patch for the actual game.
