jimf43 0 Posted January 31, 2003 Ok, I can't take it any more.... Almost every day I find myself answering all the BS problems with with ATI Radions... And, then it's not much better with Nvida and Gforce which may have better 3d drivers, but, can't give you a good 2d picture... ATI gives an ok 2d, but nothing to write home to mother about. On top of that, I may play a game once in a while, but, I'm not a gamer, but I do CAD and Graphics. I'm saving my pennys for a Matrox Parhelia 128 or 256 Lot of pennies ;( Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted January 31, 2003 Do you need the 3 displays? That's the only reason for getting it. Share this post Link to post
Jerry Atrik 0 Posted January 31, 2003 if u so any type of 3d cad (solidworks or pro/e) then u will be very disappointed with the matrox card. Share this post Link to post

jimf43 0 Posted February 1, 2003 Quote: Do you need the 3 displays? That's the only reason for getting it. Well, it has excelent 2d and better than average 3d... Probably the G550 would match it in 2d but not in 3d. Right now I've got the ATI 8500 whic is great in 3d but just ok at the 2d tasks. I don't see where the 3 displays are the only reasons? BladeRunner 0 Posted February 1, 2003 You certainly wont be disapointed with a Parhelia - it really is a quality piece of kit. 2D quality is unbeatable and it performs OK in 3D too. Let's be honest, it's got to be a better option than a GF FX with it's built in vacuum cleaner. Share this post Link to post
Brian Frank 0 Posted February 1, 2003 I think a lot of cards fit into that category ;( Share this post Link to post
