DS3Circuit 0 Posted February 12, 2003 http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/TechNet/ittasks/support/corpwu.asp I realize that installing this software might be going about it the long way, but it does certainly gather all the hotifxes and ie patches that you need. We use this in our business, quite reliable. EDIT And yes you can archive the downloads and burn them Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted February 12, 2003 You'll need 2K/2003 Server. The client is built into 2000SP3 and XP but it will only download updates as needed from M$. If you want to download ALL updates at once then you'll need to install the Server portion. You may be able to install IIS, and hax0r .MSI requirements to remove the server requirement but I haven't tried it. I'm using SUS at work too along with SMS and UpdateExpert. I'd recommend UpdateExpert for home users. Some people say it's expensive but that's with tons of licenses. Will have to look but UpdateExpert should be pretty cheap for a home user.
