bytemangler 0 Posted February 20, 2003 Hi all, I just install a NAS server and is going to move all user files into it. The NAS is access via http: . Here my issue, I want to create a share for each users using the user1$ name so other users can't see the share names when they browse the server. The problem with this is I can't see it either for me to go and set the security access. I have other workaround this however but I prefer to do this way. Does anyone know how it can be done as the NAS does not have a KB/MOUSE input. thanks Share this post Link to post
DS3Circuit 0 Posted February 20, 2003 If I understand you correctly .... you wish to modify the permissions of already created hidden shares on a NAS. You can script this through batch files using xcalcs.exe http://www.ss64.com/nt/xcalcs.html Share this post Link to post

I want to go in and set the access so only user1 has read/write to it. I will do the same for each users we have at work. Thanks for the info, I'll look into the xcalcs... Share this post Link to post
