bios updating problems

i got this info from some info utility

but i dont know how to find a new bios or flash it

apparently i need a new bios because this one is over 2 years old

and has problems with some agp stuff being enabled sometimes

know any good bios websites?

what would i search for in them?

Who is the motherboard manufacturer? Phoenix doesn't sound right to me. Unless things have changed Phoenix makes bios, so does Award... can't be both. At any rate you'd want to get the bios update from the motherboard manufacturer not the bios manufacturer. The bios is specific to the motherboard and if you tried to say flash a generic award bios you'd likely end up with a boat anchor 8)

im not sure what the motherboard is, its just a generic thing i picked up

not to make fun of aida32 or anything but thats the info i got from it

i guess its an award bios manufactured by phoenix???

 

but anyway isnt the motherboard id i listed supposed to mean something?

then the bios update is in this page and is dated 06/13/01 http://www.pcwave.com/BIOS/MB20C.ZIP

and is an elite group motherboard (www.ecs.com)

especially since my mobo supports i think a fsb of 150
