Help Whit ff 7 and Win xp

Hi i have win xp on my comp and i whant to play FF7 (final Fantasy) but i can get it to work.. i pass all the tests exept the 8 bit pallet .... can someone help me plz???

i got it to work....

but odd thing is, it doesnt detect direct3d !!

i have a friend who has win ME who has it working???

i had it installed with 98, upgraded to 2k

to solve the 8bit test you need to install a patch that fixes the Nvidia cards. it works for most newer 3d cards (including my ati). however I recall hearing that ya can't get all the way thru the game in xp.
