clutch 1 Posted March 31, 2003 IIRC = "If I Recall (or Remember) Correctly", and the first time I saw that was something that DosFreak posted. I was like "WTF is he talking about?", and then starting taking apart his sentence for context. Share this post Link to post
Champion_R 0 Posted March 31, 2003 Quote: 150 and 50 is not a comparable difference- i get that difference by running the test 2 or 3 times after reboots on the same machine. Thats what I get difference if I overclock my POS GeForce2 MX200 Share this post Link to post
ShadowSystems 0 Posted August 24, 2006 What kind of performance difference (between XP & 2K) can I expect if I install them on a system such as this: Intel Celeron 1GHz / 512Kb cache 256Megs PC100 SDRAM Intel Integrated Graphics Processor (IGP) Intel Integrated Gigabit LAN RealTek AC'97 Audio 10Gb ATA66 IDE HD I mean, it runs Win98SE slick as a greased pig, but will it run either XP or 2K worth a darn? I ask, because my son wants me to reformat his system with a better OS than 98SE, & I'd like the general consensous from those who might know better than I... (And no, I am NOT buying him a new computer! You want him to have better hardware, YOU buy it for him! hehehe) Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted August 24, 2006 XP will work fine. Throw at least another 256meg of ram in there and you'll be fine. I'd keep 98SE as a dual-boot tho. Share this post Link to post
