wot are the prices for ddr ram (256meg)

usd or aus dollars.

i dont care.

for aus just half the us dollar

Did you check on http://www.pricewatch.com or http://www.crucial.com? Those would be my first stop in shopping for RAM...

 

As far as the 'standard' speed, many chipsets use DDR266/2100, but your system may vary. If you use the memory selector on Crucial's web site, you can find out exactly what your system uses.

My god people, i can get my hands on PC3200 (DDR400) 512MB for around £45.... and thats only around $75.....

Man i just picked up 2 sticks of 512 MB ddr2700 for $98 canadian each.

it was a great deal seeing as the price just went up by about 20 bucks a stick yesterday.

I had meant on a single stick. 512MB can still be had for under $100 generally.

As always Crucial is a good place to get the idea of RAM prices.

A 256MB PC2700 non-ECC will set you back about £32 inc VAT

512MB PC2700 non-ECC about £62 inc VAT

 

1GB modules are still a lot of money.

Crucial can do a 1GB PC2100 for £416 inc VAT

Far too expensive for the average user, but if you want that maximum supported 4GB of RAM they are your only option.

Well I just got a 512 PC-2700 DIMM from Newegg for $59. I sort of like Kingston RAM.
