Curley_Boy 0 Posted April 15, 2003 Is there any way to improve sound performance in VPC? I use it to play Worms and Worms Re-enforcements, but the sound breaks up into static and is often lagged. Other games that I play this way (Tombraider, Mech2 etc) are fine. Host PC: Windows XP Pro SP1 Guest OS: Windows 95 OEM (32 RAM) Share this post Link to post
adamvjackson 0 Posted April 15, 2003 Have you tried a newer version of Virtual PC? I believe 5.2 was just released. They are still offering 45 day free eval licenses. Share this post Link to post
Christianb 8 Posted April 15, 2003 Hi Curley_Boy, While Adam Jackson's suggestion is definetly worth a try you may find that the reason you're having problems isn't software, but your lack of horsepower. Make sure you have a screaming CPU, lots of ram, and decent video card. Good Luck, Christian Blackburn Share this post Link to post
Curley_Boy 0 Posted April 16, 2003 System: Athlon T-Bird 1.1GHz 512Mb PC-133 CAS2 RAM GeForce 3 Ti200 OS: Windows XP Pro I might give the new version of VPC a try... I have had some sucess with Worms, by selecting 'Sound Blaster' instead of the 16/AWE32 and reducing the sound quality in game. Share this post Link to post
