win2000 pro sound too fast

I have a system with win 2000 pro sp3 on a DFI-CS35-TL all in one and a celron 600.

all sounds from win os play too fast also installed games sound too fast.

music cd's also played too fast so I changed cd drive. music cd's now ok but all other sounds too fast.

install your motherboard service pack,and then reinstall your audio drivers.what is your motherboard chipset?i guess is intel.
