Panesonic DVD-R, DVD-RW for $175

If anyone is interested newegg has a 2x/1x pansonic dvd burner for $175. While it's not the fastest available it has gotten great reviews. Its in the mail.

 

Question though. Is the recording speed comparable to cd? I mean will burning a 2 hour dvd at 2x take 1 hour?

DVD @ 2X is about 30 minutes, 1X is 1 hour.

 

Each X represents 1380 KB/sec.
