Recommended Posts

Oh yes.

www.epsxe.com

It's fantastic.

You can email me and I can help you set it up. they estimate it plays about 60% o all playstation games nearly flawlessly. I have about 40 games and only 1 does not work.

Epsxe is an excellent emulator, but totally dependant on the quality of the plugins used. I use Pete's plugins, as they are updated very frequently (about every 4-6 weeks). Also make sure you get the correct BIOS. The plugins (Pete's, at least) are highly configurable, and may take some time to tweak settings to run correctly.

Here's some recommendation

Video:

Nvidia - Pete OpenGL

ATI - Pete Direct3D

note: although opengl is faster, it'll cause some artifacts on ATI

Sound:

Eternal (very high compatibility, and original sound), others tend to have compat. problems or/and fake sound quality

CD-ROM:

Pete, although original cd-rom driver works pretty good, it's a bit slower then Pete's

Ati: i had bestresults with petes dx6 direct 3d (1.49)1

For cd rom I use an iso image, so DAO image driver.

Sound, Win2k core(default)

best gamepad for the job: Interact Hammerhead FX USB.

I've actually been looking for one of those, Newumbrella, can you post a link as to where you got it?

How do you like it, does it work well, are the drivers stable?

I'm currently using "Super Dual Box"

I got mine in HK, so i dunno where u can buy these things online. But u can search for "Super Dual Box" using google or any other search engine, u should be able to find it easily. Btw the driver found on the mayflash.com is only to enable dual shock/force feedback, so it's optional. But it is absolutely stable, and it works pretty good.....

And if you need the latest drivers check here:
