Christianb 8 Posted May 30, 2003 Hi geireng1 and Alec, Alec was absolutely correct you can find the file you're looking for at: http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/contig.shtml. Cheers, Christian Share this post Link to post
duhmez 0 Posted May 30, 2003 I forget the exact egistry location, (I found it with Xsetu (www.xteq.com) I added a right click explorer context menu popup to run contug on files. This way you can "Right click>defrag" specific files. Really handy as I deal wit very large video files all the time and I like to defrag tehm specifically. Using this method too you can highlght a group of files and defrag them all. In Xsetup the locaiton is something like "appearance>explorer>shell" The comand i put there was c:\contig.exe "%1%" Share this post Link to post
Christianb 8 Posted June 13, 2003 I could be wrong, but I imagine that the command syntax was "%1" and not "%1%". Cheers, Christian Share this post Link to post
