Jerky performance after suspend with Wireless card

I have the new Netgear 54g wireless adapter to connect to the 54g router, and after suspend the laptop becomes basically unusable and loses the wireless connection.

 

Any suggestions?

Have you checked for a driver update? Windows/OS updates?
