Defledermaus 0 Posted June 9, 2003 Hi all, I'm looking for a reliable, high quality web cam but one thats relatively inexpensive (say $100 US). I've done some looking and found that most web cams only offer 30 fps for video feed. Are there any that are higher, megapixel rating isn't as important as a higher frames per second rate. Thanks in advance! Share this post Link to post
CUViper 0 Posted June 9, 2003 Why do you need higher? I think analog TV feeds are only 30 fps, and for a $100 camera, that should be more than adequate... Share this post Link to post
AndyFair 0 Posted June 9, 2003 But if you still want a 60fps webcam, the Philips PCVC750K (Philips Webcam Pro 3D) states that it can do 60fps at 640x480, and interpolated stills at 1280x960 Don't know if it's available in the US though, nor how much it costs (around £70 in the UK) Rgds AndyF Share this post Link to post

Defledermaus 0 Posted June 10, 2003 I wasn't sure what the standard TV fps were and wanted a nice feed. If 30 fps is over-the-air TV quality then i think i found the one in the Logitech QuickCam 4000 ($99 US). Thanks again for the input guys. I really appreciate it. Later. Share this post Link to post
