sandberg 0 Posted June 18, 2003 Hi, On one of my 2003 servers I use tightVNC to remotely log in. However the server locks itself after being idle for a little while. I can't unlock through VNC , I have to physically log on to the server and unlock it before I am able to use VNC with it If anyone could tell me how to disable the automatic locking feature of 2003 server it would be appreciated. thanks. Sux 0 Posted June 19, 2003 We will need to go into Group Policy Object Editor, go to Start -> Run -> and type gpedit.msc followed by enter. You should see the Group Policy Editor as shown on the left. Browse to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> now look for it i forget what it is called Share this post Link to post
Turge 0 Posted June 21, 2003 Doesn't VNC have an option to send Ctrl-Alt-Del by clicking on the icon at the top left and selecting it from the menu? If not, I know that VNC has it. You could use VNC Viewer to connect, send Ctrl-Alt-Del to the PC, log on, disconnect and connect using Tight VNC (since it performs better than VNC... right?) Hope this helps, Steve Share this post Link to post
