Defledermaus 0 Posted June 22, 2003 ;( Hi all, I'm looking into how i can password protect a web page using FrontPage 2002. I know that using a *.asp file will work, however, my web host does not offer that capability (it's free web space from my ISP). Any suggestions would be great. It does not have to be a top notch secure web page, just some personal & family info i do not want just anybody stumbleing into. Thanks in advance for any help! Share this post Link to post
jmmijo 1 Posted June 22, 2003 Doesn't Frontpage support .htaccess files or am I wrong about this? I thought this was a standard way of password protecting web sites ;( Share this post Link to post
DS3Circuit 0 Posted June 22, 2003 IIS sits on top of NTFS. File access can be manipulated through security. I do not have the step by steps in front of me though. Share this post Link to post
