ryoko 0 Posted June 24, 2003 Hi, running 2000 server with terminal services in remote admin mode. This mode only gives our it staff 3 logins, 2 terminal over the web using tsac, and 1 console. When I'm logged in over the web connection I can open the terminal services manager to see the other logged in user on the web. At the console I can't. We ran into a problem where one admin did not disconnect and could not see who it was from the console screen. If I had logged in using the other web connection I would have been able t see who was on but can't access from inside our network (firewall rule). Even tried the command line util query server to see if I could find that user. Wound up waiting for the idle timeout, but would like a better solution. Any advice? Thanks, Ry Share this post Link to post
DS3Circuit 0 Posted June 24, 2003 http://dev.remotenetworktechnology.com/cmd/tscmd.htm Should be all the syntax you need. Though I dont understand ..... Terminal Server Manger MMC allows you to see who is logged on while you are at the console or connected to a terminal session. You might wanna try using VPN access to remotely manage your TS server. Thereby you wont have to open port 3389 for RDP. Share this post Link to post
ryoko 0 Posted June 25, 2003 That is exactly what I would have thought, but I tried it again today and had the same results. From the console the terminal server manager shows me basically nothing. Perhaps I configured something wrong, or it might be because I'm using remote administration mode. I would use the other mode, but unfortunately the current budget will not allow me to get any CALs for our 9x clients. There are still enough of them to cause a problem. That site was helpful DS3, but still didn't do the trick. Anyone else have any ideas? Share this post Link to post
