Clayboy 0 Posted January 13, 2000 I found an entry for the g400 in the hardware list and it says the g400 does dual head and Dvd without problems with the 2k drivers from Matrox BUT do the drivers also enable directx for games and/or opengl? Last time i heard (couple of months ago) the beta drivers from matrox do not support directx or opengl so basically no games . Thanks, Clayboy Share this post Link to post
adamw 0 Posted January 13, 2000 I've installed Windows2000 Pro (OEM version, final).Since my graphic card is Matrox Millenium G400Max, therefore I use Matrox 5.00 Beta drivers.Flight Simulator 2000 works very good under Direct3D, even better than under Windows98SE. On the other hand, Flight Unlimited III doesn't work with Direct3D and doesn't work under Glide as well. Totally, Windows 2000 would be the best platform when all the drivers will be mature. YuppieScum 0 Posted January 13, 2000 The existing G400 beta drivers for W2K are crap. I still use my TNT1 card as it surpasses the performance of my G400 under W2K... Maybe we'll get good drivers one day... Share this post Link to post
Mistral 0 Posted January 14, 2000 As of yesterday, new drivers were available for the G400 on Matrox's site. http://www.matrox.com/mga/drivers/latest_drivers/home.htm Hope it helps. Share this post Link to post
YuppieScum 0 Posted January 14, 2000 The new 5.50.005 drivers are Win9x only. There haven't been any new G400 W2K drivers since early December, at least according to the web-site... [This message has been edited by YuppieScum (edited 14 January 2000).] Share this post Link to post
