techidiot 0 Posted July 21, 2003 Hi! I've just recently set up my TV to play DVD's through my computer. The picture is great and everything works fine except for one thing. The audio comes through with an echo. It's not clear and is quite annoying. I've tried messing with everything and it doesn't seem to help. Is there something that I'm just missing? Is it something that I can fix? Your help and advice would be appreciated. Share this post Link to post
techidiot 0 Posted July 21, 2003 Could you explain that? I'm not sure what you mean. Share this post Link to post

I am not sure that this is the problem though. Double click the little volume indicator in your system tray. If the microphone controls are displayed then click mute. If they are not displayed go to options -> properties and select microphone. Then click ok and mute. You might try up[censored] your sound card drivers as well. That or some machines have a 3D sound option in the volume properties. I always set this to the minimum because it sounds awful. I don't remember if that is the problem I was having though. What kind of sound card do you have? Share this post Link to post
jmmijo 1 Posted July 22, 2003 The 3D Sound option in the Volume Control Panel is most likely the culprit. This happens to almost all on-board sound vs. a separate sound card. You may also have to select Advanced Options/Controls when in the Volume Control Panel, under the File menu I think Share this post Link to post
