Ali 0 Posted August 9, 2003 Someone has flashed the bios using intel Express bios update, thinking that he is just installing a driver! the funnier thing is that he not only ignored all the warnings by clicking "yes" and "ok" blindlly, but also after sytem rebooted and was flashing he had pulled the plug. so do you guy think Intel will send us a new one as RMA or they will want the cudtomer to pay for it ? sapiens74 0 Posted August 9, 2003 IF you are honest when you submit the rma, they may ask you to pay. Ifyou do not tell them the reason they will replace it, free of charge Share this post Link to post
Christianb 8 Posted August 10, 2003 If the idiot hadn't unplugged the thing while it was up[censored] then I'd say it was entirely Intel's fault. The user should at least have to pay shipping in both directions for their own stupidity . However any flash program that isn't hardware specific is a highly-flawed dysfunctional program in my opinion. It should be humanly impossible to flash the wrong hardware and any vendor who doesn't make that a reality is doing a major disservice to their customers.
