Command & Conquer Red Alert

I have read in the forums that this windows 95 based game works under windows 2000, yet I can't get it to work. Can anyone help me? I have mad the shortcut and clicked on the properties to check on windows 95 compatibility but it's not listed, telling me that I need some kind of program download before I install the game. Any help would be appreciated...

I have regisered the slayerui.dll and use Win2k SP3, but Red Alert still gives a

What you have to do is just copy the game files over, not to install it.

Just copy the game files over and it will work, i have tried it!
