CyberGenX 0 Posted August 27, 2003 Ever since windows update installed media player 9 my video encoding has become complete $h*t. Every video i encode now has crazy skips and sound clitches. How do SAFELY remove MP9? Share this post Link to post
CyberGenX 0 Posted August 28, 2003 OK. My bad. I use Windows 2000 not Windows XP. Share this post Link to post
sapiens74 0 Posted August 28, 2003 My fault for not looking for the area the post was in. Then to be honest I don't know. You may try the system recovery which would restore it back to the original files, but I'm not sure you can remove it, unless you have a backup of your system before you installed MP9 Share this post Link to post
ViolentGreen 0 Posted August 28, 2003 I don't think you can without going in and manually deleting a bunch of stuff and deleting the regsitry entries. I would be afraid that windows meshes too closely with it and would not work properly afterwards. Share this post Link to post
el_vago32 0 Posted August 28, 2003 I'm running Xp Pro at the time, so I dunno if this would work, but have you tried using "add/remove programs" then windows components? Share this post Link to post
