ViolentGreen 0 Posted September 23, 2003 I broke out my diablo 2 and put it on my system running XP Pro. It will work for a few minutes and then freeze for 10-30 seconds. I have the latest D2 patch and fairly recent ATI drivers. Indexing service is disabled. Has anyone else experienced this or know of a solution? Share this post Link to post
jmmijo 1 Posted September 25, 2003 I'm not having this issue with D2:LOD and the latest beta patch, v1.10s. I seem to recall hearing/reading about this issue with D2 but can't recall where I'd seen the issue. Check this site, it has some great forums for D2. http://www.diabloii.net/ Also check out the http://www.battle.net/forums/board.aspx?ForumName=d2-general] forums on battle.net. ViolentGreen 0 Posted September 29, 2003 Actually, I have found a solution for the problem. I am guessing there is some kind of defect on my cd. If I load everything up and start the game, then remove the cd from the drive, it works fine. Share this post Link to post
ReadError 0 Posted September 29, 2003 Copy all the MPQs to your HD, the game will not access them on the CD. Share this post Link to post

ReadError 0 Posted September 30, 2003 to start the game yes, unless you use some no-cd patch Share this post Link to post
jmmijo 1 Posted September 30, 2003 I would make a copy of the disk and use Daemon Tools instead This is what I do so I don't scratch my original. Share this post Link to post
Mr.Guvernment 0 Posted November 15, 2003 just get a no-cd crack it pauses because it stops to read the cdrom drive - once te game has started take out the cd. Share this post Link to post
