AFreeID 0 Posted September 25, 2003 getting this blue screen seemingly at random. *** STOP: 0x0000000A (0xFF818000,0x00000002,0x00000000,0x8052779c) usualy after i first boot and launch my dialup or explorer or eudora. I think the third block means it's a writing error but I don't understand the others. asus a7v8x, athlon 2200+, winxp home. Share this post Link to post

Sampson 0 Posted September 25, 2003 Decoding stop errors is like reading Sanscrit. Since it happens with the modem look at this Stop error on Microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=321420 Share this post Link to post
AFreeID 0 Posted October 15, 2003 well my stop errors have.. stopped but now I can't stay connected to my dialup. I've tried two different ISPs. Sometimes I connection lasts all day and then starts dropping every few minutes. After it drops and I try to redial I have all kinds of problems: No dial tone, server not responding. Only thing that happened receantly is I had to remove the qhost trojan. I've run three different virus scans and nothing. When I connect my other comps running 98 they're fine. genaldar 0 Posted October 15, 2003 Sounds like your modem is the issue. Have you tried up[censored] your driver? Or if possible do you have another one you can use for a short while? Share this post Link to post
