Bong^man 0 Posted January 20, 2000 What is the deal with scanner manufacturers?? I've been looking at midrange scanners (i.e. HP4200cxi, Epson 636u) And both companies are NOT supporting win2k. Epson will support about every scanner but the 636u, and HP isn't supporting hardly any scanners. Is it that hard for these people to write dirvers or what? They all seem to have drivers for the low end and high end scanners.. Share this post Link to post
NascarFool 0 Posted January 20, 2000 I have an HP Scanjet 5p , it is supposed to work in Win2K. It uses a Symbios Logic SCSI card that is not Win2K compatible. HP directed me to a site that has SCSI cards for it but I decided on an Adaptec SCSI card that is compatible. Hopefully the scanner will work then. Most HP scanners are listed on the HCL for Win2K. I think they put them on the list for fun. Good Luck.
