Spree 0 Posted January 21, 2000 I've done some research, visited most websites, and what I've read is that I cannot play my dvd movies with my current DVD-ROM drive unless I buy a decoder card. But my question is, is this a fact? Must I get a decoder card, because I have no pci slots free. So it'd be great if someone had win2k beta drivers for Hitachi DVD-ROM drives. Thanks, Spree Share this post Link to post
punmaster 0 Posted July 31, 2005 There is a neat app called VLC Media Player which can play DVDs without a decoder. It's even free (and open source)! It supports DVD playback, network streaming, and some other cool things. get it at http://www.videolan.org/vlc/. PS: I use it all the time. Works great! Share this post Link to post
