Deftones 0 Posted December 6, 2003 i need to burn some file thats 794 mb onto a cdr, but my burning program wont let me, it says that im 94 mb over the limit. even though my cdr says that it holds up to 800mb, so is there some program that would let me? Share this post Link to post
jmmijo 1 Posted December 6, 2003 If you use Nero v5.x or 6.x there is an option to allow over-burning. However it should just detect the blank media and adjust the recording amount automatically. This will depend on your burning app of course Another option is to use WinRAR or WinZip to compress the file(s)/folder(s) into a smaller size and burn this to CD-R media. Another possibility could be your CD burner. Some drives, mainly older ones had issues burning to discs larger then the standard 74 minutes. Share this post Link to post
Mr.Guvernment 0 Posted December 12, 2003 where didnu buy these 800mb cd's - these are the 99min one correct? not all burners support these cdr's unfortuantly and over burning a cd may resutl in only your drive being able to read it as many cd-rom can not read that far out onto a cd.
