jimbo 0 Posted December 29, 2003 Have you tried any other games? Particularly any other Quake III engine based games? Give something else a shot and see if the problem is Wolfenstein based. Also run directX diagnonstice (start/run/dxdiag). Do all the video tests. (Quake III uses OPENGL and directx test won't specifically test that but it will generally test your vid card using direct3d). Share this post Link to post
Jerry Atrik 0 Posted December 29, 2003 the very newest drivers from nvidia are causing some of these problems roll back to an older driver. Share this post Link to post

Jerry Atrik 0 Posted December 30, 2003 me thinks it's because pb is trying to detect the ogl hacks if a driver comes out that it doesnt recognize it seems to freeze the system Share this post Link to post

Jerry Atrik 0 Posted August 2, 2004 there are many things that will cause that error among them being a vid card that is unsupported. Share this post Link to post

Of course, if you have previously played it on that same computer, and haven't changed any hardware around, you most likely need to reinstall your video drivers. The error you are recieving is triggered by the OpenGL subsystem, which is a feature/subset of your video drivers. Most likely you have an ATI, Nvidia, or Matrox video card. Please consult your system manufacturer or documentation for your specifications. Once you know what hardware you have, you can download an appropriate video driver from the manufacturer's web site.
