Arin 0 Posted January 5, 2004 When ever I view my one storage drive, explorer will display the pointer with the hour glass, pause, crash, and reload the desktop and icons, closing out any explorer windows open. Why? I can see the drive and navigate through out it fine in dos. I even ran a scandisc on the whole thing and nothing came up. What could be happening? How can it be fixed? I know this is kind of a veague question, but I'm thinking maybe windows looks at a file to display information about the drive which is causing it to crash. I probibly delete this file and have windows make a new one from scratch, possibly eradicating the problem. Any input? Thanks. -Windows XP Pro, sp1 w/ all the updates. Share this post Link to post
