videobruce 0 Posted February 11, 2004 I'm looking for a decent non-bloated (as in Creative) program to sub M$'s poorly laid out audio control panel(s). Creative's control panel along with their drivers suffer from the usual 'bloat' factor and I would perfer NOT to use it. Any suggestions that would place the playback along with the bass/treble controls and recording on the same panel instead of switching back and forth as in Windows? I'm running 2k w/sp4 and a SB Live Value card. Share this post Link to post

videobruce 0 Posted February 16, 2004 The card works fine, the Creative drivers don't, neither does the Windows control panel. Those aren't the audio cards fault, only the programmers. The fix is in the S/W not the H/W! FWIW, I came across this site: http://download.kxproject.lugosoft.com/ that has a driver &control panel for many of Creatives cards including the SB and Audigy series! I install it and it seems to work ok so far. The CP is a big improvement and ther are selectable skins available. Down the road I will get another card and it won't be from Creative I will tell you that much. Share this post Link to post
