lenguadiablo 0 Posted February 29, 2004 I installed abour a week ago Balck and White and I was unable ti play it, until I installed the new patch, today I installed the creature isle expantion and the same problem appear, at any click from the mouse the game closes and the desktop appears, I try everything, if any body knows how to fix the problem I will appreaciater it, thanks. mackz 0 Posted February 29, 2004 I took me ages to find the answer too. The problem seems to be caused by Microsoft ('hotfix') XP update KB 824141 (Although I have been unable to find it again, I recall the original answer said this was to do with hackers and mouse drivers! It also gave the command to be typed in at the 'run' prompt - which I don't remember, but it worked fine.) Everything will then work!! ... correct pointers and no crashing back to desktop. Anyway see the www.planetblackandwhite.com forum for corroboration. They suggest you just remove it under the 'add/remove software' option of control panel. Share this post Link to post
megalsqurt 0 Posted August 25, 2004 help!!! i have had black & white working on my current computer for over a year now, i recently purchased creature isle, and i will not work, the program wont even load, ive tried all the suggestions i can find on it, its in 98/me compatibility mode, ive tried uninstalling kb24141, i've got service pack 2, i'm just gettin sick of xp, and about to give up on windows completely!!!! ;( ;( ;( does anyone have any ideas on how to get it working?
