felix 0 Posted January 26, 2000 I may have missed such discussion previously due to my workload - (not much time for surfing) Does the retail edition on Win2K support the SB Live natively without needing to disable PCI Steering and do the other funky stuff? ------------------ ------------------------- I don't suffer from insanity. Jim 0 Posted January 27, 2000 My SBLive works great with win2k-retail and the default drivers without any goofy tweaking whatsoever. I havn't installed Liveware yet so I don't know how that does. Share this post Link to post
felix 0 Posted January 27, 2000 If you have experiences with both in-built and Liveware, I would love to know. ------------------ ------------------------- I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it. Share this post Link to post

avenger 0 Posted January 28, 2000 I tried both the built-in and the Liveware drivers and I learned to stick to the built-in drivers. The Liveware works fine , but it kind of messes up your windows , and you lose hibernation support. Also , with the liveware , the sound gets a strange echo in it , which is quite annoying when you play a lot of music on your computer. So now I only use the built-in drivers , they have some problems with the volume settings being too high , but for the rest they are ok and the sound quality is fine ! ------------------ Greetings Tim Luyten avengy@geocities.com ICQ #663599 Share this post Link to post
