X-Games Pro Boarder NOT working on Win2000

Recommended Posts

Hello,

first of all I'd like you to excuse my english. I know it's not that bad, but by excusing it, you don't have to wonder about the way I try to make you understand my problem wink

I wanted to play X-Games Pro Boarder again, which I bought long time ago.http://retailsupport.ea.com/corporate/pressreleases/eaespntv.html

Installation was ok. no problem here.

After starting the game, the program switched to fullscreen-mode, but then switched back to the windows-desktop giving me this DirectDraw-Message: error.jpg

The official homepage of the game dowsn't exist anymore ( http://www.proboarder.com )

My Computer:

----------------------

Asus A7A266-E (newest BIOS and chipset-drivers)

AMD AthlonXP 1600+

512MB Ram

Ennough place on my harddisk

GF4-Ti 4200 incl. newest detonator-drivers (56.72)

Win2000 incl. ServicePack 4

DirectX 9.0b

After searching the web I only found "it works on win2k" (on this page) and this:

http://www.scala.com/miscellaneous-faq/error-32-1.html

Quote:
"This error sounds like a Video driver defect. The video card's device driver is not correctly managing access to the display buffer memory on the video card--this was a relatively common problem with some older Windows NT4 device drivers."

Can you PLEASE help me? I love this game...

Thanks in advance

I have the same problem as you do, but sadly no solution. It is the best (not that there's many of them) snowboarding game for the PC. I just installed the game and got that message once, but afterwards it worked for me. I have Win XP Pro, so that might make a difference. Sorry, you can't get it to work, but I can't get my USB gamepad to work with it... EA just needs to release a new, great snowboarding game for the PC...
