Moylance 0 Posted April 30, 2004 On a new installation of Windows 2000 Professional I get this error; Quote: Windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or sorrupt: <windows 2000 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe Please re-install a copy of the above file. How would I go about replacing only this file? Would I usea startup disk and go about replacing that file. I did have a different error message before but I think it was a stupid version, and this is the file needing replacement. Also I installed it on two seperate HD's and got the same error message.
