dbgg1979 0 Posted May 17, 2004 i just finished setting up a LAN. i shared one folder using "simple filesharing/networking". when i tried to access it from another pc, it asks for a login/password. how come? i didn't assign any login/password to that shared folder. and this doesn't happen to all the PCs within the LAN. some PCs within the LAN don't require login/password when accessing a shared folder in that PC. additional info: OS: windows xp pro sp1 (all PCs within in the LAN) Share this post Link to post
