frankiep 0 Posted May 17, 2004 Hello, I'm going to be implementing a direct migration from Novel 3.1.2 to Windows Small Business Server 2003. This is the first time for me doing anything like this, and I'm begining to think I took on too much. So far working with the system requirements list for Windows SBS I have found our current server to be compatible except for, I can't find the processor's MHz, or the bandwith of our LAN's which are the only requirments not verified. The processor is a GenuineIntel x86 Family 15 Model 1 Stepping 2, Pentium 4, and I have absolutely no knowledge on LANs or Network Hardware. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Trying to wrap up a cost analysis and it would be good to know if I need new hardware. Plus if anyone has done a direct migration, I was wondering what type (if any) problems you had while doing it. Thanks Share this post Link to post
Jerry Atrik 0 Posted May 17, 2004 it's not terribly difficult. the hardware should be fine. for the most basic setup just follow the prompts when installing the sbs and reconfigure the clients. should work almost automatically Share this post Link to post
