My Computer won't turn off automatically

When I shut down my computer it get's to the 'It is now safe to turn off your computer' screen but doesn't turn off...

Is there a setting I over looked?

 

running w2k on a Soyo 6vba133 motherboard

go to Control panel/power options/APM and turn on APM, try that.
