nerotnt 0 Posted June 8, 2004 My first post! I have the Mandrake 10 Official disks for some days now and I just can't install it! Before burning the iso's I made a md5sum on them and they were ok. I burned the iso's as I burn other iso's (with Nero). I put the CD1 and rebooted. It detected the Mandrake disk. I did "enter" and right after the part "Loading program into memory..." it simply freezed up and my cdrom stopped spinning. I've read in other forums to try booting from CD2. So I did, and it then asks to insert CD1 and BOOM... freezed up again at the same point. So what's problem? It's frustrating to have Mandrake 10 Official right at my side and not being able to see the beauty. This only happens with Mandrake 10 because I can install my Mandrake 9.2 with no problems at all. Please can someone help me on this. It's getting me crazy. Share this post Link to post
Dapper Dan 0 Posted June 8, 2004 There have been similar problems installing Mandrake 10 with others who visit here. Do a search here and see if any solutions rise to the surface. I had no problems installing Mandrake 10 Community on a couple of different boxes. If Mdk 10 doesn't pan out for you, you may want to consider Fedora Core 1 or 2. I've tested Mdk 10 and Fedora Core 2, and in my book, Core 2 is by a long shot the better of the two. Share this post Link to post
