mozizzlex 0 Posted June 13, 2004 I cant get Need For Speed 1.0 to work properly in the windows xp dos window.(the very first Need For Speed game, suppose it was released in 1995) I just get a black screen after I load it. I also tried Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition and same screen problem. I have the following hardware: AMD Athlon-XP 2600+ 1.92GHz (Barton) CPU 512MB PC2100 DDR RAM ATI Radeon 9100 AGP 64MB Video (Visiontek XStasy 9100) ECS N2U400-A FSB400 Motherboard NVidia NForce2 Chipset SoundBlaster Live! 5.1 PCI Windows XP Professional SP1 What do i do to remedy the problem? Reptil3 0 Posted June 14, 2004 You probably trying to run them in vesa mode, but new gfx cards aren't fully compatible with vesa. Try run them in 320x200, without sound and music.
