MechWarrior 4 .Icd file

Ive been trying to run Mechwarrior 4 Vengeance on XP. Ive done it in the past with no problems at all. But now, when ever i start the game up. before i get anywhere i Window tells me that the computer must close the application.

 

I looked into the error report made by the computer and it points to the .Icd file of the game.

Im at a complete loss as to what to do about it. One minute it works. the next it does not. Even tried installs of small and full sizes many times.

 

Any thoughts or ideas would be great.

It's possible that a copy protection driver was updated on your system recently. Try downloading a NOCD crack for the game until you can figure out if it is a copy protection driver problem.

any chance u can tell me how i can find out if i have one of those copy protection things ur talking about?

 

ive tried MANY things to fix this problem and for the last 3 damn days ive ben off and on this computer tryin, ive probly spent more then 48 hours total on this thing tryin to solve this and STILL no damn luck

 

any ideas at all about how i can fix this? im desperate for help right now
